Ekiti State University (EKSU) has announced the schedule for its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session. This is an important notification for all candidates, including both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) applicants.
Starting on Wednesday, 24th July 2024, the Post-UTME screening exercise will begin. Notably, no examination will be conducted for this screening.
Admission Requirements for UTME Candidates
Candidates who did not initially select Ekiti State University (EKSU) as their first choice but scored 140 and above in the 2024 UTME may also apply. However, these candidates will need to change their first-choice institution to EKSU on the JAMB CAPS portal.
Additionally, successful students from EKSU’s Pre-Degree and JUBEB programs will be given special admission consideration, following Senate approval. Candidates who are awaiting results from their SSSC examinations are advised not to apply yet; they should only apply for the Post-UTME screening once their results are released.
Minimum UTME Scores for Courses
EKSU has set minimum UTME scores for certain competitive courses:
- Mass Communication: 180
- Medical Laboratory Science: 220
- Nursing: 220
- Law: 240
- Medicine (MBBS): 250
Candidates with scores below these thresholds for the specified courses may apply for other programs at EKSU. To proceed, they should make changes to their course preferences on JAMB CAPS.
Eligibility for EKSU Post-UTME Screening
To qualify for the EKSU screening, candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their SSCE/NECO/NABTEB exams, obtained in relevant subjects, and at not more than two sittings.
