Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has officially begun its admission process for the 2024/2025 academic year, welcoming applications for 78 diverse degree programs. According to a recent announcement from the Office of the Registrar, candidates who made BOUESTI their first-choice institution in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 140 points are eligible to apply.
Post-UTME Screening Requirements
The University has directed all first-choice candidates who meet the minimum UTME score to visit the BOUESTI online portal at portal.bouesti.edu.ng to complete their registration for the compulsory Post-UTME screening exercise. Additionally, candidates who did not initially select BOUESTI as their preferred institution but wish to explore admission opportunities there are encouraged to change their institution of choice through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) platform.
The Registrar’s Office has also emphasized the importance of uploading O’level results to the JAMB CAPS platform to ensure a smooth admission process. These requirements are mandatory for all prospective students, as instructed by JAMB.

Admission Eligibility and Requirements
BOUESTI has set a 140-score minimum requirement in the UTME for candidates seeking admission into their programs. Prospective students must also have five O’Level credit passes in subjects including English Language and Mathematics, plus three additional relevant subjects. These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings. For candidates applying through Direct Entry, NCE, HND, ND, JUPEB, or IJMB results are required for eligibility.
Candidates who are eligible but wish to change their course or institution to BOUESTI are advised to do so via the JAMB portal. The university stresses that only those who meet the specific subject requirements for each course will be considered for admission.

How To Apply for Prospective Students

- Visit the official portal at portal.bouesti.edu.ng.
- Click on the “Admissions” tab, select “Apply for Admission,” and create a new account with an active email address and personal phone number. A verification email will be sent to complete the account creation process.
- After registration, log into the account, select the 2024/2025 Post-UTME application option, and enter your UTME registration number.
- Candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of N2000. Payment can be made online through the designated platform.
- After successful payment, candidates can access the application form, which should be completed and submitted along with a recent passport photograph in JPEG format.
Printing of Admission Letter
To print the admission letter once admitted, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit portal.bouesti.edu.ng and click on “Check Admission Status.”
- Enter the necessary information, such as registration number and admission year (2024/2025).
- If offered admission, the option to print the admission letter will be available. In cases where admission has not been finalized, a “Not Yet Admitted” message will display, indicating the admission process is ongoing.
All candidates who changed their choice of institution to BOUESTI must upload their WAEC/SSCE or equivalent results to the JAMB CAPS platform to complete the admission process. It’s also crucial for applicants to ensure that their UTME subject combinations align with the requirements of their chosen course.
The University further advises candidates to frequently check their admission status on the JAMB CAPS. Upon admission, candidates should promptly accept their offer to secure their place.
